As for who manufactures GE dishwashers, technically, it is GE that makes them. However, in 2016, GE was purchased by the Haier Group. So, while GE’s dishwashers are made at a facility under the GE name, it is all overseen by the Haier Group.
The Haier Group Corporation is a Chinese multinational appliance company. Its headquarters is based in Qingdao, Shandong but it has facilities dotted in countries all over the world.

Where are GE Dishwashers Made?
The Haier Group has manufacturing facilities in countries all over the world. However, since GE’s products are still manufactured at GE facilities, it was pretty easy to find out where its dishwashers are made.
As you can see in the image below, GE has a handful of facilities in the USA where it manufactures a wide range of its products. It operates facilities in five cities across the US. It has facilities in Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.
According to GE’s official website, the company offers more than 250 American made appliances. Not only are they American made, but they are made using between 70% and 90% US based parts.

While a lot of the company’s production is carried out within the US, it is worth keeping in mind that aside from the products linked above, the rest of its appliances seem to be made in facilities in countries across the globe. History of GE Dishwashers
GE has been manufacturing dishwashers for almost a century. The company introduced its first direct-drive dishwasher back in 1927. It is a system that it still uses to this day.
As the years went on, GE quickly perfected the art of dishwasher production. In 1936, the company brought out its first front-loading single-rack dishwasher.
In 1954, GE introduced its first line of automatic portable dishwashers. They were a major hit with homeowners as they didn’t require any complicated installation.
By the late 60s, GE had developed its first combination motor and water circulation pump for the development of its dishwashers. This improved energy efficiency and helped customers to save money on operating costs.
One issue that took a while to fix with dishwashers was the ability to make a noise or somehow indicate if the door was slightly ajar and therefore couldn’t operate. GE managed to bring this technology to its dishwashers by the mid-1980s.
Since the 80s, GE has continuously kept ahead of the curve by using smart technology and new lightweight materials. From its SmartDispense technology to its near-silent dishwashers, GE has achieved a lot over the years when it comes to dishwashers.
While all of its innovation was going in, the company mostly kept things within the US. By manufacturing its products in the US, GE has been able to keep a close eye on production and development to ensure that the company remains at the cutting edge of dishwasher manufacturing.
