When it comes to buying a new mattress, it is nice to know where it was made. Because of this, I’ll be taking a look at Casper mattresses. I tried to find out who makes them and where they are made.
Who Makes Casper Mattresses?
Casper was founded in 2014 by Philip Krim. Philip Krim has owned several online mattress stores and Casper was his next big hit. Casper proved to be very popular with consumers all over the US. The company focuses solely on producing the best possible quality mattresses, ensuring both comfort and longevity.
In 2021 it was announced that Casper Sleep was acquired by Durational Capital Management. It is a New York based consumer-focused investment firm.
Since Durational Capital Management is a private company, there isn’t all that much information about who is in charge of manufacturing. However, the wording of the acquisition from Casper seems to suggest that Durational Capital Management is responsible for all things related to Casper.
I came across one third-party article stating that Sinomax USA is responsible for some of Casper’s manufacturing. However, I could not find proof of this from any official sources. Also, the same third-party article featured a couple of inaccuracies about Casper Sleep, so it may be best to take its information about Sinomax USA with a pinch of salt.
Where are Casper Mattresses Made?
If you do a Google search for Casper Sleep, you will see the following message in the company’s description. ‘Quality-crafted and ethically built in the USA’.
But while this looked promising, I wanted to find out for definite where Casper manufactures its mattresses. So, I got in touch with the company directly. After speaking to one of Casper’s online agents, I can confirm that all of Casper’s mattresses are manufactured in the USA.

Casper operates two facilities in the US, one in Georgia, and another in Pennsylvania. This information came from the Casper Wikipedia page. However, the Wiki page for this company does give a warning to state that the article may not be 100% accurate.
I did a little more sleuthing and found that Casper does indeed appear to operate a facility in both Georgia and Pennsylvania, so the information from Wikipedia seems to be accurate.
History of Casper Mattresses
Casper was founded in 2014. As mentioned toward the beginning of this article, it was launched by the same person who launched a handful of other mattress websites. Casper quickly grew.
However, despite the company growing rapidly, according to numerous sources, including RetailDive, Casper struggles to make a profit.
Putting the negatives to one side, Casper has received numerous awards and accolades for its quality mattresses. This includes Good Housekeeping Awards and more.
As a whole, while the company may have struggled to turn a profit over the past few years, thanks to it recently being acquired by DCM, things look positive for Casper’s future.
