Finding toasters made in the US is no easy task. Plenty of companies like to use the phrase “Designed in America.” But they are not actually made in America. This makes it very difficult when trying to find American made toasters.

I should also add that this list is for consumer toasters only. There are several American commercial toaster companies. They will not feature on this list.

Are There Any Brands That Sell Toasters Made in the USA?

Initially, there was one brand on this list that manufactures toasters in the USA. However, it looks like that particular company no longer manufactures its toasters in the US.

Brands that Turned Out to Be Dead Ends in My Search for American Made Toasters

The brand that I initially thought manufactures toasters in the US is All-Clad Metalcrafters. However, the company has since moved its manufacturing overseas.

I also came across several websites that had lists of American made toasters. However, upon closer inspection, each one listed was actually made abroad. Here’s what I found.

All-Clad Metalcrafters

Founded in 1971, All-Clad Metalcrafters is an American consumer goods company. The headquarters is located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. While the company does manufacture some of its products at this location, it looks like the majority of its electrical products are made in China.

This includes the company’s toasters. It manufactures two models of toaster. They are the Digital Stainless Steel Toaster, 4 Slice, and a two slice version of the same model. Both of these models are made in China.

Hamilton Beach

There are plenty of websites that state that some of Hamilton Beach’s toasters are made in the USA. But upon further investigation, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to the Hamilton Beach Wiki page, its products are actually made in China. The Hamilton Beach website goes into more detail about production. The company’s products used to be made in America – this was until the company moved production overseas in 1995.

Cuisinart

I came across a few different sources that listed some of Cuisinart’s toasters as American made toasters.

I was unable to find out the reason why some of Cuisinart’s products were being mislabeled as American made since it clearly states on Cuisinart’s own website that the products are not made in the USA. They are actually made in China and France.

Haden

Several websites listed Haden toasters as American made. But upon further investigation, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Haden_Toasters

According to Best Buy, Haden’s toasters aren’t made in the USA, they are in fact made in China. It was unclear as to why these products were listed as made in America.

  1. Amazon and their sellers. Each and everyone of these websites that claim all of this products being “Made in the USA” are nothing more than bait and switch con artists who are violating the Law. This is why Amazon is NOT to be trusted, like ever!

    • Hi Sammy,

Thanks for your comment. I completely agree – there are a lot of companies intentionally trying to mislead consumers about where things are from. Many are “creative” with their choice of words. And not many openly share info about manufacturing locations. I do my best to do some digging, but it’s not always easy.

      Cheers, Stefan.

  2. Thank You for being the only honest site in the search for USA Made Toasters. It’s bad enough we are being lied to by corporations and politicians, we cannot even find the truth on an internet search.

  3. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I just went to the Allclad website using the ‘two slice version’ link above. The product specifications indicate it is made in China. What a shame. I thought I’d found one to purchase. Many thanks for your efforts!

    • Thank you for your comment. Hopefully, companies start bringing production closer to home in the near future. There are lots of people out there who like to purchase locally made products and it would be nice if more companies took notice.

  4. Boy oh boy I find this very disappointing. That just tells me that Americans are being misled and actually this could open up major lawsuits! In fact, one of the last American made product was Mr. Coffee, Coffee maker. They were forced to move to China to manufacture the coffee makers as that’s the only way Walmart would carry their product. Walmart was a big part of the loss of one of the last American made products. I haven’t stepped foot in Walmart in over 12 years!

    • Hi Pierre, thank you for your comment. We are an impartial source and we are not affiliated with any company. We base our articles on hours upon hours of research. Unfortunately, we encounter lots of dead ends regarding American companies. Hopefully, in the near future companies will realize that American made products are highly sought after. Thanks once again for your comment.
