After doing some research, I found 1 brand that sells thermos flasks that are made in Japan – Snow Peak.

Snow Peak

Snow Peak is a Japanese company founded in 1958 in the Niigata prefecture, Japan, that produces quality metalwork for campers. The company puts great care into the quality of its manufacturing, with minimalistic designs that haven’t changed since the company’s inception.

As you can see in the photo below, Snow Peak does manufacture at least some of its thermos flasks in Japan.

As is mentioned on the company’s blog, Snow Peak thermos flasks are manufactured at a factory in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan.

However, please be aware that Snow Peak does manufacture some of its thermos flasks in China. This was confirmed by a representative of the company by e-mail.

I found a couple of companies that people confuse as being Japanese manufacturers. Here’s what I found.

Zojirushi

Zojirushi is a Japanese household product manufacturer that was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1918. The very first product the company manufactured was an insulated bottle or a thermos flask, a breakthrough technology at the time.

Today, Zojirushi offers all different kinds of kitchen products to make people’s lives more convenient.

At first, it seems like Zojirushi is a Japanese company that manufactures its thermos flasks in Japan. However, a seller on Amazon mentions that the Zojirushi thermos flask was made in Thailand.

On this Reddit thread, it is also claimed that the Zojirushi thermos flask is made in Thailand.
I contacted the company, and a Zojirushi representative confirmed that its thermos flasks are made in Thailand.

To be more precise, it seems Zojirushi thermos flasks are produced at Union Zojirushi Co. Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand.

So, in conclusion, Zojirushi thermos flasks are manufactured in Thailand.

Tiger Corporation

Tiger Corporation is a household appliance manufacturer founded in Japan in 1923.

At first, as you can see on this section of its website, it seems like Tiger Corporation’s thermos flasks are made in Japan.

However, as is mentioned on the “about us” section of its website, Tiger Corporation’s production bases are located in Shanghai, China and Vietnam.

This Amazon listing confirms that its thermos flasks are made in China.

Here, a verified buyer is disappointed to find out that their thermos flask was made in Vietnam, and not Japan as they previously thought.

In 2012, Tiger Vietnam Co. Ltd. was established, which is most probably where Tiger Corporation’s thermos flasks are manufactured.

However, it was impossible to locate Tiger Corporation’s factory in China.

I’d recommend reaching out to the company for more information.
