After a little research on yoga mats made in America, I found four different companies that meet the criteria for this list. These companies are Jade Yoga, Pravacana, R-Yolo, and Suga.
The Companies That Make Yoga Mats in America (Here’s What I Found)
Now that we have found which companies manufacture yoga mats in America, let’s take a look at them in a little more detail.
Jade Yoga
Jade Yoga is a business with a history that began over 100 years ago. It is a family business that evolved from an old oriental rug seller into one that sells yoga mats. Rubber padding was created to go under the rugs, in order to prevent them from slipping.
This then birthed the innovation of the rubber yoga mat. Jade Yoga is recognized for producing and selling the first natural rubber yoga mat, which means it does not slip.
The family-run business produces its entirety of yoga mats with natural rubber from rubber trees. As this is a renewable source, Jade Yoga is a business that abides by eco-friendly regulations.
Although rubber is imported from other countries in order to produce the mats, all of the company mats are manufactured inside the US.

After lots of research and engineering, Suga discovered that used and unwanted wetsuits could be turned into yoga mats. Suga’s yoga mats are made using old and used wetsuits.
As Suga believes in bettering the environment and reducing its carbon footprint, all of Suga’s yoga mats are manufactured in the USA from 100% recycled wetsuits that are no longer used.

I found a couple of companies that didn’t quite meet the criteria for the list above. But it looks like they conduct some of their manufacturing in the US. Here’s what I found.
Hugger Mugger
Hugger Mugger is a popular yoga mat producer that provides innovative and high-quality products. The company was founded in 1986 in Lake City, Utah, USA. Although Hugger Mugger’s yoga mats are premium-quality and eco-friendly, not all of its products are made in America. After some research on the website, some of Hugger Mugger’s products are manufactured in other countries such as Taiwan.

R-Yolo
R-Yolo is an incredibly young company. It was launched in 2020 and it creates safe, stable, and reliable yoga mats. Creating easy-to-clean yoga mats that are long-lasting and easily dryable is what sets apart R-Yolo from other yoga mat brands. R-Yolo has been featured at academy award ceremonies and is recognized by A-list celebrities.
Not only are the R-Yolo mats popular with celebrities and reliable but they are manufactured in America. However, the website indicates that the core materials are imported from Turkey, and the yoga mats themselves are manufactured in the US.

R-Yolo sells only one Yoga Mat, but it is manufactured in America. The product can be viewed here. So while it is technically made in the USA, its components primarily come from Turkey.
