It’s safe to say that everyone owns some sort of nail-cutting device. With that in mind, more and more Americans are turning to locally made products as it is better for the environment and the local economy. So, are there any nail clippers made in the USA? Well, that’s what I’ll be looking at in this article.
USA Made Nail Clippers – Do They Exist? (The Short Answer)
Some readers may be surprised to learn that there are still a handful of companies that manufacture nail clippers in the USA. They are No-Mes, Bianco Brothers, and Bianco Instruments.
3 Companies That Produce American Made Nail Clippers
Now that we know which companies offer American made nail clippers, let’s take a look at each one in more detail.
No-Mes
The idea for No-Mes came about in 1991 when the founder decided that there was a need for nail clippers that don’t fling clippings all over the place when you are cutting your nails. It’s a rather simple idea, yet it has become a major success with people all over the US. No-Mes clippers, as the name suggests, gather all the clippings in a small easy to empty chamber removing the need to vacuum, brush, or go around picking up nail clippings after each use.

While I couldn’t find out which of its facilities manufactures No-Mes’ nail clippers, it’s all made within the US. So, if you buy from No-Mes, then you are guaranteed to receive a pair of American made nail clippers.

Bianco Brothers
The company Bianco Brothers was founded back in 1972 as a small sharpening repair business in Brooklyn, New York. The company very quickly grew and expanded to produce various metal-based products. Bianco Brothers manufactures a variety of products from culinary items and dental instruments to nail clippers.
The company operates two small factories in the USA. Unfortunately, Bianco Brother’s about us page doesn’t actually state the exact locations of these facilities. Bianco Instruments stems from the company mentioned above, Bianco Brothers. From what I understand, the CEO and President of Bianco Brothers decided to leave the company and build his own company under the name Bianco Instruments.
As for its manufacturing, Bianco Instruments manufactures its products in Virginia. According to its website, its products are “Hand Made In The USA ”. So, if you buy from Bianco Instruments, then you’ll receive a quality American made pair of nail clippers.

Honorable Mention
There was one company that I came across that may manufacture some of its nail clippers in the USA. However, it may also manufacture them abroad. I couldn’t find a clear answer. Here’s what I found.
Trim
Trim is a well-known beauty brand that has been going strong for more than 7 decades. The company offers everything from eyebrow shapers and eyelash curlers to tweezers and nail clippers.
As mentioned above, finding clear information about this company’s manufacturing locations proved to be a tricky task. Here’s what I was able to find out.
While Trim is an American brand, having been founded in Shelton, Connecticut, in 2012 the company was acquired by Pacific World Corporation. Pacific World Corporation is a French-based company with facilities in various locations worldwide.
After trying to find more leads about the company’s manufacturing location, I came across a few sales pages on Target’s website. In the product description, it states that its nail clippers are either made in the USA or imported. Unfortunately, this really isn’t much to go by, but it’s all I was able to find.

A Company That Gets Mistaken as Being an American Manufacturer
One company kept popping up during my search for American made nail clippers. However, upon closer inspection, the company actually manufactures its products overseas. Here’s what I found.
Softale
Softale doesn’t have much of an online presence, aside from its official Amazon store. After every Google search, I was greeted with many images of Softale’s nail clippers under phrases like “USA Made” and “Made in America”. However, after reading through many product descriptions, each one clearly states that Softale’s clippers are made in China.
Maybe this is a Google algorithm issue, but Softale does clearly state that its nail clippers are made in China as you can see in the image below.
