Space heaters are popular with people all over the world. The ability to heat a room quickly and efficiently is a must during those cold winter months. But are there any companies that offer space heaters made in the USA? Well, that’s what I’ll be looking at in this article.
American Made Space Heaters – Are There Any? (The Short Answer)
After an extensive search for American space heater manufacturers, I found 4 companies that produce them. They are Sunheat, King Electric, Vornado, and Eheat.
Space Heaters Made in the USA (I Found These Options)
Now that we know which companies offer space heaters made in the USA, let’s take a look at each one in a little more detail.
Sunheat
Sunheat is a 3rd generation family-owned business that offers a variety of high-quality heaters for people all over the US. The company was founded in North Platte, Nebraska. While not all of the company’s manufacturing seems to be carried out in the US, it does clearly label its American-made products making it very easy to decipher which of its products are American-made.
According to Sunheat’s official Amazon store, the company’s cabinets, sheet metal, packaging, and boxes are all produced across its facilities in Nebraska. Also, most of its supplies come from the Midwest. As for its assembly, that’s all done in Grand Island, New York.
Luckily, the company does offer at least a few space heaters entirely made in the USA. These include:

King Electric
King Electric has been in the heating industry since 1958. It has plenty of experience in producing high-quality heating appliances, this includes space heaters. It was founded in Seattle and at the time of writing this article, it still produces its space heaters in the USA.
According to numerous sources, King Electric operates a manufacturing facility in Seattle, Washington. I found this information on several trustworthy sites such as Zoominfo and Dnb. It’s worth noting, as you can see in the image above, King Electric does rely on some globally sourced materials for its products.
So, while it does conduct its manufacturing within the US, it does also rely on some overseas support when it comes to various components. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find out more about where exactly its overseas materials come from.

Vornado
Vornado is a well-known American company that produces air circulation-related appliances, this includes space heaters. The brand was first launched in 1945. It started by producing fans but quickly branched out into heaters too.
Vornado is very proud of its American roots and it continues to conduct as much of its manufacturing as possible within the US. It operates facilities in Andover, Kansas. It does look like it may rely on some overseas production, but it looks like its space heaters are American-made. However, the company does use some imported parts to produce them.
At the time of writing this article, Vornado offers two lines of space heaters, both of which are made in the USA. They are as follows.
Eheat
Eheat is an American-owned and operated company. According to its website, its heaters are all manufactured in the USA. The company did rely on South African production facilities for a while, but the people behind wheat weren’t happy with the quality of the finished product. Because of this, the company decided to move its production to the US, where it remains to this day.
Eheat is very passionate about its American manufacturing and it prides itself in being completely transparent with its customers regarding where and how its products are produced. Each of its heaters is manufactured at a state-of-the-art ISO 9001 certified assembly plant in the US.

Honorable Mention
I came across one company that might manufacture some of its heaters in the US. However, I couldn’t find much concrete proof of this. Here’s what I found.
Mr. Heater
Mr. Heater has been manufacturing heat-related products since 1957. It’s an American-founded company having sold countless products to happy customers throughout the US. I came across numerous third-party websites that state Mr. Heater’s products are American-made. However, I couldn’t find out much to back this up on its official website.
The only thing I was able to find on Mr. Heater’s official website was a small section where it states that it is based in Cleveland, Ohio. This isn’t much information to go by, hence it gets an honorable mention.
