With so many companies opting to conduct their manufacturing overseas, it can be difficult finding things that weren’t made in China. In this article, I’ll be taking a deep dive into saunas made in Canada.
Saunas Made in Canada – Are There Any? (The Short Answer)
After an extensive search for Canadian made saunas, I found 2 companies that produce them. They are SaunaRay and SaunaCore.
Canadian Made Saunas (What My Research Turned Up)
Now that we know which companies manufacture saunas in Canada, let’s take a look at each one in more detail.
SaunaRay
SaunaRay is based in Collingwood, Ontario. It’s a company that prides itself on producing high-quality saunas with Canadian-sourced wood. It offers saunas for regular consumers as well as ones geared toward commercial use.
According to its website, SaunaRay offers North America’s only 100% pure and natural infrared saunas. As for its manufacturing, SaunaRay produces all of its products at its facility in Collingwood, Ontario.
SaunaRays’ saunas are a little different when compared to a lot of other companies out there. Each sauna is pre-built and ready to assemble. It can be assembled in any room you desire within just one hour. There’s no need to hire a plumber as it is designed in a way that makes it easy to connect the water pipes.

SaunaCore
SaunaCore has been producing saunas for customers all over the US and Canada since the early 1980s. Its saunas are made using premium quality Canadian materials. It also offers a wide array of sauna add ons including steam bath generators and much more.
According to the company’s official website, SaunaCores saunas are manufactured in Canada using Canadian timber. The company operates a facility in Bolton, Ontario and it looks like this facility is where it conducts the majority of its manufacturing.

Honorable Mention
I came across a company that does conduct some of its manufacturing within Canada. However, it does also rely on overseas production for some of its saunas. Here’s what I found.
Northern Saunas
Northern Saunas is a company that specializes in helping people find the perfect sauna to suit their needs. Northern Saunas has more than 30 years of experience and has received numerous glowing reviews related to its products.
While the company does operate a facility in Boucherville, Quebec, it also seems to get some of its products from overseas. After reading through various product features on Northern Saunas’ website, some of its saunas are produced in Europe before being shipped over to Canada to be assembled and sold.
Some of Northern Saunas’ products state where it was made, as you can see in the image below. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for all of its products which made it difficult to find out which of its saunas are Canadian-made. I’d recommend reaching out to the company before making a purchase to ensure that the model you like is Canadian-made.
