With a name like 1UP USA, it will come as no surprise to learn that it is a company that manufactures its products in the USA. It was founded in 2001 and it has managed to cement itself as a quality American bike rack manufacturer.

During my search for American made bike racks, I came across several third-party sites that listed one company as an American manufacturer. However, it turns out that the company actually manufactures its products overseas. Here’s what I found.
Kuat
Kuat is a bike rack company that’s based in Springfield, Missouri. As mentioned, I came across a handful of articles stating that Kuat is an American manufacturer. However, this does not seem to be the case.
According to Bicycle Guider, a trusted bike review website, Kuat manufactures its products in facilities in China and Taiwan. Once built, they are sent to Kuat’s warehouse in Springfield to be sold to consumers.
