Whether for business, work, or pleasure, most men own at least one suit. Unfortunately, with many companies opting to manufacture products overseas, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find companies that offer American made products. But is this true for suits? Well, in this article, I’ll be taking a deep dive into American made suits.
Brands That Sell Suits Made in the USA? (The Short Answer)
After an extensive search for American made suits, I found 5 companies that offer them. They are Bespoke Edge, Hardwick, Hart Schaffner Marx, Joseph Abboud, and Haspel.
American Made Suits (Check Out These Options)
Now that we know which companies offer American made suits, let’s look at each one in more detail.
Bespoke Edge
Bespoke Edge is a family-run business that was founded in 2012 in Colorado. The company’s suits have been featured in such wedding publications as Martha Stewart Weddings which has helped to boost the company’s name. It has very quickly become one of the go-to companies for men looking to buy a quality suit.
According to Bespoke Edge’s FAQ section, all of its Signature level suits are made in New York. That said, its Platinum level suits are made in China. But, for this article, I’ll be focusing solely on its American made suits.

Hardwick
Hardwick is very proud to be the oldest private apparel manufacturer in the whole of the US having been founded way back in 1880. With it being such a longstanding company, it’s safe to say that the folks at Hardwick certainly know their way around manufacturing quality suits.
Since the company’s very beginning, it has been producing its products in the USA. Being an American manufacturer is something that Hardwick takes very seriously and it has no intention of changing that. Hardwick’s clothing is all produced at a facility in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Hardwick offers a pretty extensive selection of suits for all occasions. Here are a few of them for you to take a look at.

Hart Schaffner Marx
Hart Schaffner Marx was founded in 1887. Over its more than 100 years in the clothing industry, the company has picked up a reputation for its quality, reasonably priced apparel. Today, Hart Schaffner Marx sells its products to customers all over the world.
The company manufactures its suits in the USA. It has been manufacturing its clothing within the US since it was founded in the late 1800s. The company’s plant is located in Des Plaines, Illinois. From what I understand, it looks like this is where most, if not all, of its production takes place.

Joseph Abboud
Joseph Abboud is a well-known fashion designer based in the US. He recently opened a new American made custom suit business and it has proven to be very popular with people all over the US and abroad.
While I am unsure if all of Joseph Abboud’s suits are American made, its made-to-measure suits are all produced at a facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Haspel
Founded in 1909, Haspel is an American clothing company based in New Orleans. It offers everything from casual wear and sportswear to fashion accessories and suits. It is also the founder and owner of the Seersucker suit range.
It is unclear whether or not all of Haspel’s clothing is made in the USA. However, according to its Instagram page, its clothes seem to be made in the US. After digging a little deeper, it looks like the company produces all of its tailored clothing at a facility in Rochester, New York. I found this information on Haspel’s FAQ page.
If you are wanting to take a look at some of Haspel’s American made suits, then all you need to do is check out the product description of any product on the company’s website. If it is made in the US then it will have a label with ‘Made in USA’ on it. You can see an example below. Here’s a link to the company’s suit apparel section.
Honorable Mention
I found one other company that produces suits in the USA. However, at the time of writing this article, it was in the process of moving its production to Mexico. Here’s what I found.
Hickey Freeman
Hickey Freeman has a very rich history having been founded back in 1899. It is a well-known brand that produces luxury apparel for men. As mentioned above, the company is an American manufacturer. Or at least, was an American manufacturer, depending on when you are reading this.
As of June of 2023, Hickey Freeman is undergoing a major change. It is moving its production to a facility in Mexico. So, while Hickey Freeman may still offer some American made suits, that won’t be the case for much longer.
