American-made umbrellas are often hard to come by. People prefer umbrellas made in the USA better as they help the economy and are usually better for the environment. In this article, I will show some of the known brands that sell the best American-made umbrellas.
Brands That Sell Umbrellas Made in the USA (The Short Answer)
After some research on umbrellas, I discovered two companies that manufacture and sell umbrellas in America. These companies are Holtzkraft and beachBUB.
The Companies That Make Umbrellas in the USA (What I Found)
Now that we have discovered which companies manufacture umbrellas in the USA let’s take a look at them in a little more detail.
American Holtzkraft has been building handcrafted umbrellas since 1985. Holtzkraft strives for safety, longevity, dependability, and quality in all of the products it produces. The company’s commitment to detail and craftsmanship makes it one of the finest umbrella manufacturers in the US.
The company has many awards and honors. Not only does it hold the 2009 Adex Award For Design Excellence – Platinum but American Holtzkraft also holds the Guinness World Record 2004 for the world’s largest umbrella.
Holtzkraft is not only recognized as one of the best in the business for umbrellas. It is also recognized as an all-American company, manufacturing all of its products in Pennsylvania. The umbrellas are made using Northern Ash, known to be the hardest wood grown in the US. Northern Ash wood, amongst quality manufacturing, is one of many other factors that make Holtzkraft a top-quality, all-American brand.

Umbrellas That Are Mistaken as Being Made in the USA
As I was researching American-made umbrellas, I looked into companies that appeared to fit this standard. But, I found evidence on the brands’ websites that stated they were not manufactured in the USA. These companies are Poggesi USA and ShedRain.
Poggesi® USA is an industry expert that provides durable and quality umbrellas using the finest materials available. The company’s motto is, “Thrive as a luxury lifestyle brand in the hospitality industry”. Poggesi provides umbrellas to many hotels, restaurants, and outdoor furnishing businesses.
Although the website is called ‘Poggesi USA’ it is clear from some research on the website that its products aren’t made in the US. The company does sell umbrellas in the US, but manufactures most in Italy, as the company is based in Tuscany.

ShedRain is an American company that has been dedicated to producing quality umbrellas for around 75 years. The company desires to build quality umbrellas for many generations to come. ShedRain has built a strong foundation for umbrella production and has strong relationships with many retailers.
But, after some research on the website, ShedRain does not manufacture its umbrellas in America. Due to complications with production and costs, ShedRain had to change its manufacturing to global, rather than purely in America.
