With many companies turning to countries like China to increase production rates and reduce costs, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find quality products that are made outside of China. In this article, I’ll be looking at sunglasses made in Italy.
Before getting into the article, I just wanted to put a little disclaimer. Some readers may feel like there are a couple of brands missing from this list. I didn’t include companies like Italia Independent and Mad in Italy on this list due to either the company in question going through financial ruin or just far too little information to go by.

Can You Buy Sunglasses Made in Italy? (The Short Answer)
After doing some internet sleuthing, I was able to find 3 brands that manufacture sunglasses in Italy. They are VANNI, L.G.R, and Childe.

Now that we have our Italian sunglasses manufacturers, let’s take a closer look at each company to find out more.
VANNI
Starting off this list we have a very well-known brand, VANNI. It was founded in 1990 in Turin. It very quickly became an iconic brand, and these days it sells its products to happy customers in countries all over the world.
All of VANNI’s glasses are made entirely in Italy. Its sunglasses are handmade using some of the finest materials around to produce high-quality colorful sunglasses that will last a long time, protect your eyes, and look amazing. L.G.R was founded in 2007 and it’s based in Rome, Italy. Despite being a fairly new company, L.G.R has already established itself as a high-quality sunglasses manufacturer with happy customers all over the world.
All of L.G.R’s sunglasses are handmade in Italy, this is what makes these sunglasses really sought after as people love products that have that handmade touch. The sunglasses are made by three artisanal families that work in tandem to produce high-quality products.

Childe
Childe is our final entry for this section. It was founded in 2018 in Byron Bay, Australia. Now, I know what you are thinking! What’s an Australian company doing on a list of Italian manufacturers? Well, it is an Italian manufacturer! While the company is based in Australia, its products are all made in Italy.
Childe’s sunglasses are a little different from the other entries on this list. It manufactures its products using eco-sensitive plant-based and bio-acetate materials, which makes it an excellent choice for those wanting to buy an eco-friendly pair of sunglasses.

Honorable Mention
Gucci
This one proved to be a tricky one when it came to finding out where its products are manufactured. Gucci is one of the most famous brands on the planet. Its products are primarily used by the rich and famous and its sunglasses have become quite the symbol of status.
Finding out where Gucci products are manufactured wasn’t as simple as you might think. There are several conflicting pieces of information out there. There are several well-known and trusted media outlets stating that Gucci manufactures its sunglasses in Japan and Italy.
However, there are also several other reputable sources that reference a fairly recent lawsuit that states that most of Gucci’s sunglasses are actually made in China.

Ray-Bans
Here we have yet another massive sunglasses brand. This brand has had its products featured and mentioned in songs, tv shows, films, and more. Ray-Bans have always been a go-to brand for the rich and famous and it is still going strong to this day.
Ray-Bans’ products used to be entirely produced in Italy. However, as time has gone on, things have changed and the company now manufactures lots of its sunglasses in China. So, while it does manufacture some of its products in Italy, It isn’t clear which ones are Italian-made.
