Many Americans like to kick back and relax in a nice sauna. When it comes to saunas, it’s always best to try and get the best possible quality. With so many companies choosing to conduct manufacturing overseas, it can be hard to find an affordable quality sauna made outside of China. In this article, I’ll be looking at saunas made in the USA.
Do Any Companies Sell USA Made Saunas? (The Short Answer)
After an extensive search for American made saunas, I found 3 companies that produce them. They are TheraSauna, Almost Heaven, and Heavenly Heat.
Saunas Made in the USA (Companies That Sell Them)
Now that we know which companies offer American-made saunas let’s take a look at each one in more detail.
TheraSauna
TheraSauna is an infrared health sauna producer based in Bettendorf, Iowa. It is known internationally as a premium supplier of infrared saunas and it has picked up a reputation for being a reliable and quality supplier of American-made saunas.
The company is very proud of its manufacturing as it conducts 100% of its production in the USA. TheraSauna is a strong believer in local production, its facility is located in Dewitt, Iowa. This is where all of its production takes place. The company is one of only a few companies that produce infrared saunas made in the USA.
TheraSauna does have warehouses in Wisconsin and Europe. These facilities are for distribution and it doesn’t look like any manufacturing takes place at its warehouses. For a closer look at TheraSauna’s manufacturing locations, check this out.

Almost Heaven
Almost Heaven is a luxury sauna manufacturer based in Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia. According to the company’s website, it is one of the few sauna manufacturers that still produces its saunas in the USA.
Almost Heaven was founded in 1977. The company has facilities in Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia, and the shores of Lake Michigan, and it has recently partnered with a Finnish company.
Almost Heaven Saunas are produced by the Harvia Group. The Harvia Group produces its saunas in The USA. I could find no evidence of the company producing any of its saunas overseas so it looks like all of its production is carried out in the USA

Heavenly Heat
Heavenly Heat was founded in 1988. It is a well-known American sauna company and its headquarters is located in Encinitas, California. The company offers a wide array of quality saunas that are free of chemicals making them ideal for those who have sensitive skin issues.
All of Heavenly Heat’s saunas are built in the USA. The company has been making its saunas in the USA since 1988. However, it does import some of its components from overseas. See the image below to find out where Heavenly Heat gets each component from.
Each of Heavenly Heats’ saunas is produced at a facility in Arizona. However, as shown in the image above, some of its components do come from overseas. Here’s a link to a page showing where Heavenly Heat manufactures its saunas.

Honorable Mention
As I was doing the research for this article, I came across one company that does manufacture some of its saunas in the USA. However, it also seems to manufacture some of them abroad which made it impossible for me to find out which of its saunas are American-made. Here’s what I found.
Health Mate
Health Mate has been manufacturing high-quality saunas in the USA since it was founded in 1979. The company is well known for its infrared saunas as it has built and sold lots of them over the years.
As mentioned above, the company does conduct some of its manufacturing within the US. But it does also seem to manufacture some of its products overseas which makes it very difficult to find out which of its products are produced in the USA.
I found one source, Divine Saunas, that states that Health Mate does manufacture some of its saunas in the USA.
However, I found another source claiming that its products are manufactured at a facility in Yantai, China. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much more information out there regarding where Health Mate manufactures its saunas.
