Metal Detectors Made in Germany – Do They Exist? (The Short Answer)
Finding German-made metal detectors proved to be a bit of a challenge. But I was able to find 3 companies that make metal detectors in Germany. They are MegaLocators, NextLabs, and GeoGround.

Now that we know which companies manufacture metal detectors in Germany, let’s take a look at each company in a little more detail.
MegaLocators (Mega Detection)
MegaLocators, also known as Mega Detection, has been in the metal detector industry for over 30 years. Its headquarters is located in Hamburg, Germany. It is an internationally recognized company, with distribution centers in countries all over the world.
As for its manufacturing locations, I couldn’t find any specific factory locations, so I assume that for the most part, its manufacturing facility is in the same place as its Hamburg headquarters.
Each of MegaLocators products has a made in Germany tag on it. So, I feel it’s safe to say that this company manufactures its products in Germany.

NextLabs
NextLabs was founded in 2015. The company is based in Frankfurt, Germany, this is where all of its metal detectors are manufactured. I was able to reach out to the company directly and ask one of its employees where NetLabs products are made. This employee confirmed that they are all made in Germany.
NextLabs manufactures three different products. A water detector, a diamond and gemstone detector, and a metal detector. For this article, I’ll be focusing solely on the company’s metal detector.
Its metal detector is called AURELIAN, and it is a pretty special piece of equipment. It has a front range of 2500 square meters, a detection depth of up to 25 meters, and it comes with a 3-year guarantee.
GeoGround
GeoGround is a German-founded company that was established back in 1999. Its headquarters is located in Hamburg, Germany, and from what I was able to find, it looks like this is where its manufacturing takes place.
According to GeoGround’s official website, the development of its machines takes place at its headquarters in Hamburg. From research to delivery preparation, it seemingly all happens at its headquarters.
That said, in 2011, the company opened up new subsidiaries in a few different countries. I am unsure what GeoGround does at these locations, but there’s no mention of it conducting any of its manufacturing outside of Germany.
