When the weather is hot there’s nothing quite like a drink loaded with ice to help keep you cool. Each year, more and more people across America are buying their own ice makers. After doing some digging around, I was able to find 6 brands that produce American made ice makers. They are Follett, Ice-O-Matic, Marvel, Scotsman, Hoshizaki America, and Manitowoc.

No, not that Marvel! Marvel refrigeration has been going strong since 1892. This company is based in Greenville, Michigan. This is where the company’s manufacturing takes place.
The company focuses solely on producing products for chilling and ice purposes. Since the company has been in business for so long, it’s safe to say that the company knows its way around ice makers.
Whilst the company primarily aims its products toward businesses, it also has a handful of products that are fit for regular consumer use. These include the following.

Finishing off this section we have Manitowoc. You may have noticed that this has a little ‘possibly’ flag next to the title. That’s because not all of the company’s manufacturing takes place in the US.
I came across a handful of angry reviews stating that some of the company’s American made products weren’t actually made in America. Having said that, according to Manitowoc’s website, it produces ice makers in Mexico, China, and the US.
This makes it difficult to pinpoint with absolute certainty which of its products is made in the US. So, check with the manufacturer before committing to a purchase to ensure that the model you buy was made in the US.
