Air fryers are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people are looking for healthier ways to enjoy their favorite foods. Roughly 40% of American households have an air fryer and that number is only going to increase as time goes on. In this article, I’ll be looking to see if there are any air fryers made in America.
Are There Any Companies That Offer Air Fryers Made in the USA? (The Short Answer)
After spending some time researching this topic I wasn’t able to find a single company that still manufactures air fryers in America. However, I found a few companies that people often mistake for being American manufacturers.
Air Fryers that Are Commonly Mistaken as Being American Made
As mentioned above, I found a handful of companies that at first glance seem to produce American made air fryers. However, upon closer inspection, this doesn’t seem to be the case. So, here’s what I found.
Ninja (SharkNinja)
Ninja recently partnered up with Shark to become SharkNinja. However, the air fryers are made by Ninja, so I’ll be keeping the two companies separate for this entry. The company is based in Needham, Massachusetts, and this seems to be where some confusion is coming from.
I found several articles and product advertisements suggesting that Ninja’s air fryers are made in the US. This doesn’t seem to be the case. Ninja’s air fryers are all made in China.
Instant Pot Vortex
The Instant brand is a very well-known kitchen appliance brand. The company holds numerous patents for its specialty products and it sells its appliances to countries worldwide. I initially mistook this brand as an American manufacturer as most of the information I could find uses clever wording to insinuate that Instant Pot air fryers are American made.
However, after doing a little more digging, it turns out that this company’s air fryers are manufactured in China before being shipped around the world to be sold.
Chefman
There wasn’t a lot of information on Chefman’s company website regarding manufacturing. So most of this information comes from a handful of third-party sources. Chefman’s air fryers are manufactured in China.
While this information is no secret, I encountered a couple of independent product reviews referring to Chefman products as “American made appliances”. I’m not sure where the disinformation is coming from as I was unable to find any large websites that used the phrase “Made in America” when referring to Chefman’s products.
Cosori
Finishing up this list we have Cosori. This one is one where people seem to be confusing a company’s headquarters with its manufacturing location.
Cosori’s headquarters is located in Southern California, however, the company’s products are manufactured in China. This information is very clear because, on many of the company’s products listed on Amazon, there is a section stating that the products come from China. Here’s an example of one of the products I found.
