Air fryers are becoming a standard appliance in kitchens all over the world. This is because air fryers are a healthier alternative to traditional fryers, meaning people can still enjoy their favorite foods and use much less oil. In this article, I’ll find out if any air fryers are made in Japan.

Are There Any Brands That Sell Air Fryers Made in Japan? (The Short Answer)

After doing some digging around, I wasn’t able to find a single air fryer brand that manufactures its air fryers in Japan. However, I found one company that people seem to confuse as being a Japanese manufacturer. That company is Kyowa.

Air Fryers That Are Commonly Mistaken as Being Made in Japan

As mentioned, while I was looking for Japanese made air fryers I came across one company that people seem to mistake as being a Japanese manufacturer. Here’s what I found.

Kyowa

Kyowa is a brand that aims its products toward people living in the Philippines. However, it does sell products to other countries too so I thought it would be best to mention this brand, just in case anyone stumbles across it.

Kyowa is Japanese for ‘today’ or ‘new day,’ this is where some confusion seems to be coming from. People are mistaking the Japanese name for being a Japanese company.

Also, there are several different independent companies that use the name, Kyowa, which made it tricky to find out more about Kyowa the household appliance company.

One of the other companies that go by the same name as this company does manufacture its products in Japan. However, this company doesn’t manufacture kitchen appliances so there could be some confusion as people may be mixing the two companies up.

From what I was able to find, the company is located in the Philippines. I am unsure whether or not the company’s products are made in the Philippines, the only thing I could find was an extract from the website stating that the manufacturing takes place in ISO-9001-certified factories.

Aside from the company using a Japanese word as its company name, I wasn’t able to find any other connection between Kyowa and Japan.
