With so many companies outsourcing production to China, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find high-quality American-made products. But is it the same for air compressors? Well, in this article, I’ll be looking at air compressors made in the USA.
Some readers may feel like some companies are missing from the list below. This list is geared toward regular consumer use, so manufacturers that only offer air compressors for industrial use don’t qualify for this list.
Are There Any Air Compressors Made in America? (The Short Answer)
After lots of digging, I was able to find 7 air compressor manufacturers in the USA. They are DeWalt, Craftsman, Quincy Compressor, Saylor Beall, Eaton Compressor, J Air, and Jenny Products.
Manufacturers That Produce Air Compressors in the USA (A List)
Now that we know which companies offer American-made air compressors let’s take a look at the businesses behind the brands.
DeWalt
DeWalt is an enormous internationally recognized company. It was founded in 1924 in Bareville, Pennsylvania and it manufactures a wide range of products from drills to hammers and of course, air compressors.
With it being such a large company it will come as no surprise to learn that DeWalt has manufacturing facilities all over the world. The company has facilities in the US, Mexico, Brazil, China, and more.
That said, DeWalt is very clear regarding which of its products are American-made. In fact, the company has a page on its website dedicated to its American-made products.
DeWalt manufactures at least one of its air compressors in the USA. That is the 60V Max Flexvolt 2.5 Gallon Cordless Air Compressor Kit. While it is made in America, it does state that it is made with globally sourced materials.
Craftsman
Craftsman is a proud American company that was founded in 1927. Its headquarters is located in Towson, Maryland and the company is owned by By Stanley Black & Decker. Craftsman manufactures everything from hand tools and power tools to lawn and garden equipment and air compressors.
According to the Craftsman website, it manufactures select products with pride within the US. It does also state that it uses globally sourced materials to manufacture its products, but this isn’t very unusual, in fact, lots of businesses rely on some materials from overseas.
After having a look through Craftsman’s website, it looks like the company has a few different options when it comes to American-made air compressors. Here are a couple of its products for you to check out.

Quincy Compressor
Quincy Compressor was founded in 1920 and with a name like Quincy Compressor, I’m sure you have figured out that it is a company that specializes in manufacturing air compressors! The company is dedicated to producing nothing but high-quality compressors.
According to Quincy Compressor’s about us section on its website, it manufactures its reciprocating line at its facility in Quincy, Illinois. It does look like it manufactures more than just that line in the US, but it has facilities in China too so I’ll stick with the line that is definitely American-made here.
If you are looking for an air compressor, then chances are you are looking for one for regular consumer use and not industrial use. Since that’s probably the case, here’s a link to its American-made air compressors that are geared toward regular consumer use.
Saylor Beall
Saylor Beall is a proud American company that manufactures air compressors in the USA. It was founded in 1915 in St. Johns, Michigan and it has built a great reputation over the years for its high-quality compressors and pumps.
All of Saylor Beall’s air compressors are manufactured in the USA at its facility in St. Johns, Michigan. This makes it one of the few air compressor companies to operate solely within the US.

BelAire
I couldn’t find an official website for BelAire, it looks like the company conducts its online business through official third-party sources. So keep in mind that the information for this one doesn’t come from the business directly.
BelAir has been manufacturing compressors since 1985. Coincidentally, the company manufactures its air compressors at the same facility as Quincy Air. BelAire offers a wide selection of air compressors and from what I understand, all of them are produced within the US.

Eaton Compressor
Eaton Compressor was founded in 1977 and according to the company, over the years, it has built the most well-constructed and reliable air compressors in the industry. That’s quite an impressive statement considering just how many air compressor manufacturers there are out there.
The company believes in keeping its production local. It carries out its manufacturing at its facility and distribution center in Englewood, Ohio, and by reading through the company’s history, it doesn’t look like that will change any time soon.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this article, Eaton Compressors seemed to be having some issues with its website and I wasn’t able to get links for some of its specific air compressor lines. Here’s a link to the company’s homepage. Hopefully, things will be working again by the time you are reading this.
J Air
J Air is an American air compressor manufacturer that was founded in 1957. It began as a small local air compressor manufacturer before growing and expanding to offer air compressors to people all over the US.
According to several reputable sources, all of J Air’s products are proudly made in the USA. As for its main manufacturing location, it looks like the company manufactures a lot of its products from a facility in Pennsylvania.

Jenny Products
Finishing off this section we have Jenny Products. Unfortunately, Jenny Products’ official website is rather basic. So, the information for this entry comes from several trusted third-party sources.
According to several sources, including Obsessed Garage, Jenny Products manufactures its air compressors in the USA. Its products are made at a facility located in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
It doesn’t look like it’s possible to order directly from the Jenny Products website. Instead, you’ll need to buy from a trusted third-party source. Here’s a link to Obsessed Garage’s selection of Jenny Products air compressors.
Honorable Mention
I came across a company that seemingly manufactures some of its products in the US. However, I couldn’t find out whether it manufactures its air compressors in America so it gets an honorable mention.
BOSTITCH
BOSTITCH was founded in Arlington, Massachusetts back in 1896. Having lasted for well over 100 years, it goes to show just how much the company knows about manufacturing high-quality products.
I wasn’t able to find out if the company manufactures all of its products in the US, but I know that it does at least manufacture some of its air compressors in America. According to its website, it manufactures products at a facility located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
It looks like it has been manufacturing at this facility since 1957, but I couldn’t find any up-to-date information to back this up. Because of this, it doesn’t qualify for the list above because I couldn’t find recent concrete proof of it being an American manufacturer.
